Our philosophy has always been that every individual affected by cancer—and their advocates—deserve the very best care. We believe this is achieved by fostering and disseminating high-quality, evidence-based science that leads to better medicine and best practice. Through this approach, we aim to support oncology professionals, at no cost, in delivering the most effective treatments and the highest standards of care.
Building on our strong foundation in breast oncology, our educational scope has now broadened to include the important and evolving field of cancer-associated thrombosis (CAT). By bringing together professionals from oncology, haematology, and allied disciplines, our meetings offer a valuable opportunity to update knowledge, exchange ideas, strengthen networks, and form strategic partnerships—all with the shared goal of improving patient outcomes across both disease areas.
The North of England Oncology Association (NEONC) was established with the successful launch of its first Annual Breast Cancer Symposium in 2009. Based in Hull, NEONC has since become a recognised platform for promoting knowledge around prevention, early diagnosis, multidisciplinary management, and ongoing support for professionals and stakeholders involved in the care of individuals affected by cancer. Over the years, NEONC has proudly hosted 15 annual breast cancer meetings, fostering collaboration and continuous education across the UK. In addition, recognising the critical impact of thrombotic complications in cancer care, NEONC has expanded its educational mission to include 2 dedicated Cancer-Associated Thrombosis (CAT) Symposia, further strengthening its commitment to improving outcomes across oncology practice.
On behalf of NEONC, I am delighted to personally invite you to attend the upcoming NEONC Cancer-Associated Thrombosis (CAT) Symposium, to be held at Hull University on 8th November 2025.
This focused educational event brings together a distinguished panel of national and international experts in oncology and haematology. The symposium is designed to provide an in-depth, state-of-the-art update on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of cancer-associated thrombosis.
Our faculty includes leading oncologists, haematologists, and thrombosis specialists, and the meeting is open to consultants, trainees, and allied healthcare professionals from across the UK.
This event offers an excellent opportunity for multidisciplinary learning, networking, and interaction with experts actively shaping the field of CAT management.
We sincerely hope you can join us for what promises to be a highly informative and engaging meeting.
